Find My Way
We Should Practice ran a drop-in map-making event at Tōia (Ōtāhuhu Library) where approximately 60 participants of all ages were asked to share walking, cycling and driving journeys to, in and around Ōtāhuhu. They could draw them in whatever way they liked, and in as much or as little detail as they liked.
From scans of all the maps I created a composite artwork using various parts of the drawings to create a single cohesive artwork which was printed onto a tea towel for each participant.
My favourite element? Saia’s bus with arms… or flames?
